Club Trophies

This plastic trophy, incorporating a chess board, was the Lindley Chess Club trophy donated to the runner-up in their tournament. On transference to the Huddersfield Club it was first used for the winner of a junior section of the summer tournament. In recent times it has been used to be presented to the winner of a rapid play event.

This trophy is a replica of a chess king, made in plated silver. It was presented to the Club by Dr. J.L.Parke and Mr. S.Crispin in 1897, for use in a handicap tournament. This trophy has been presented to the highest placed senior member in the summer handicap tournament for many years. It is housed in a wooden (light oak?) box.
