The Silver Chess King

This trophy is a replica of a chess king, made in plated silver. It was presented to the Club by Dr. J.L.Parke and Mr. S.Crispin in 1897, for use in a handicap tournament. This trophy has been presented to the highest placed senior member in the summer handicap tournament for many years. It is housed in a wooden (light oak?) box.
